The Company
DemiVision, LLC is a technology group dedicated to pushing the envelope of networked mobile
entertainment. We are exclusively focused on making truly interactive multiplayer wireless gaming a
reality.
- We are not a game publisher.
- We are not a game portal.
- We do not do WAP.
We do develop revolutionary server technologies that facilitate J2ME and BREW multiplayer wireless gaming.
Although our focus is not on the games themselves, we do also develop prototype games that showcase the platform.
Our software engineers come from a diverse background encompassing both enterprise scale, mission
critical design as well as high performance game development. We are currently privately funded and are located
in sunny Huntington Beach, CA. We are actively looking to partner with wireless carriers and game publishers to
bring J2ME and BREW multiplayer gaming to the masses.
The Founder
Barry Sohl, President and Founder
Prior to launching DemiVision, Mr. Sohl was Vice President of Technology (and interim CTO) of Radical Communication, Inc.,
the leading provider of Java based, interactive email technology. Mr. Sohl has also spent time in the
enterprise ecommerce, audio/video compression, and game programming fields, as well as teaching graduate
and undergraduate computer science courses at California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Sohl received
his Master's degree in Computer Science from CSU Long Beach where his thesis research focused on "Massively
scalable distributed simulation." He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the
University of California at Berkeley.
